Profile
Stories linger in space.
01 / Position
From urban planning to interactive narrative.
My studies began in urban and rural planning and have expanded into interactive narrative and media experiments. I am interested in how people experience places through walking, observation, and participation, and how memory shapes those experiences. Through games, interactive narratives, physical models, and visual media, I explore relationships between spatial design and human action.
My current interests include interactive narrative, human-computer interaction, playable and physical prototypes, and urban experience.
02 / Education and research
Understanding place through research.
At Zhejiang University, I am completing a B.A. in Urban and Rural Planning with a minor in Landscape Architecture (2021–2027). My coursework includes urban design, applied psychology, social science research methods, and applied statistics.
During an exchange at the University of Tokyo through USTEP Type U (2025–2026), I completed course-based research on algorithmic bias in large language models and Generation Z social media behavior. Since July 2026, I have worked as a research assistant intern at the Institute of Urban and Rural Planning & Design at Zhejiang University, supporting a low-altitude economy study through literature review, research-background writing, and fieldwork in Hangzhou residential and mixed-use complexes.
Earlier, as a student researcher in the SRTP (2023–2024), I studied the spatiotemporal burden of individual PM2.5 exposure and helped process physical-environment data and mobility trajectories to examine exposure mechanisms and equity.
03 / Selected projects
Exploring spatial questions through interaction and making.
A Cat, Inflatable is a DigitalFutures 2026 individual project about a near-future industrial worker in Shanghai. An interactive website, physical model, and video work together as a cross-media narrative; I organized the story world, spatial translation, and audience journey.
Public Opinion is an independent 4–8-player party game that translates everyday online disputes into a group-labeling mechanic. I developed the rules, 92 question cards, visual identity, print-ready components, and a companion web experience for topic expansion and in-person play.
Encoded Space is a Godot narrative game demo co-developed in a Tsinghua University and 37 Interactive Entertainment workshop. I worked on UI interactions, art-asset management, and selected scene construction.
AI Green Nexus City is a DigitalFutures 2025 human-machine design collaboration at a Shanghai Wuyi Road urban regeneration site, where I contributed to site analysis, client-needs integration, and final presentation while exploring EvoMass and generative AI for massing iteration.
04 / Experience
Writing, fieldwork, and making keep the practice open.
Alongside spatial and interactive projects, I work as an editor at Jiangshan Xingji, an architecture media platform. I write theory-oriented articles for general audiences, with more than 10,000 total views, and handle visual layout and editorial presentation.
Earlier roles include consumer management training at Huawei, where I analyzed retail conversion and site selection and designed interactive mechanics for a campus roadshow across seven pilot universities; and project assistance at China IPPR (Hainan), where I researched residential practices and local materials and co-designed an installation shortlisted for Shanghai DESIGN 100+.
05 / Student organizations
Student organizations made coordination a daily practice.
As Vice Director of Events for the ZJU Student Football Association (2021–2023), I organized campus matches, drafted competition regulations, coordinated venues, and prepared equipment. The role taught me to hold a collective activity together through its rules, schedule, space, and practical details.
As Vice Minister of Publicity for the ZJU Student Cantonese Association (2022–2023), I led the publicity plan for the 2023 Campus Cantonese Song Contest and promoted Cantonese courses that attracted more than 100 students. This work connected event planning with public communication and cross-cultural exchange.
As a staff member of the Qiushi Chao Promotion and Information Center (2024–2025), I supported content planning and daily operations for the university's ZJU Micro Student Affairs and Qiushi Chao WeChat accounts.
As a staff member of the ZJU Student Landscape Architecture Association (2023–2024), I helped organize campus landscape-architecture knowledge-sharing activities and public-interest outreach.
06 / Tools and recognition
A research-led practice across digital and physical media.
I work with literature review, fieldwork, spatial analysis, and data processing; prototype with Godot and basic Next.js / TypeScript; and use AutoCAD, Rhino / Grasshopper, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud, EvoMass, and ComfyUI in design development. I speak Mandarin Chinese, English (IELTS Academic 6.5), and elementary Japanese (N5).
Selected recognition includes the 2026 Third Prize in the WUPENiCity International Competition on Urban Sustainability Reports, the 2025 Gold Award in the Zhejiang ABC Cup Innovation Competition, and the 2024 Best Workshop award at the CDAC Mixed Reality Timber Construction Workshop.
